The nursery team is made up of highly qualified, experienced and passionate early years professionals who support each other to provide the very best quality care and learning opportunities for the children at First Steps.
We work together with the children to design a creative curriculum encompassing the Early Years Foundation Stage that is fun, purposeful, balanced and broad, so that your child has a thoroughly enjoyable time with us whilst naturally learning through their experiences.
We structure our activities to ensure that we are continuously responding to your child’s individual needs and providing opportunities for them to develop their skills in all areas of the curriculum using both indoor and outdoor natural play spaces throughout the day.
This approach builds the children’s self-esteem and gives them the confidence to explore and try out new ways of doing things. With a strong emphasis on guided teaching and learning, we encourage children to think for themselves, learn about their responsibilities, solve problems, be willing to take risks through working and communicating with others, and gaining an increasing understanding of the world and how it works which supports lifelong learning.
